Springs Speedway
First night out started pretty good. We started from the pole and jumped out front in our first heat. We looked to be a run away winner until our driver made a mistake in traffic and ended up climbing up the side of the wall and just about flipped, but somehow we managed to keep going but lost one spot and finished 2nd. The 2nd heat we started last and finished 5th. For the feature we started from the #5 position and shot up to 2nd pretty quick. The track was a bit heavy with the cushion about 3/4 down the track which left just enough room to run on top of the cushion. That's exactly what we did and in a very exciting fashion, we got to the lead and drove away from the field. There was a caution with about 5 or 6 laps to go. On the restart, we drove right back up on the cushion and once again built up a large lead. Coming off turn two with a couple laps left, it ran through my head that I should actually get down and race on the track before I crash up there for no reason. So I dropped down on the racing surface and the first corner I went into, we hit a rut, picked up the front end, then the car turned right into the wall. So much for trying to be safe. I felt terrible as we had a winning car, but I managed to place last with it. Next weekend is the North Island title race which we won last year, so hopefully we can redeem our self.
Thanks,
Ricky

New Zealand
Sorry for not keeping the site up to date this summer, but I had a ton of stuff going on outside of race which included two deaths in the family.
To sum up my summer, it was the worst one I've ever had, but we did win our last race in Missouri.
I was meant to be racing in New Zealand already, but because of one of the deaths I have delayed my departure from the USA until Nov. 24th. I am scheduled to make my first race appearance in New Zealand Nov. 29th at Springs Speedway in Auckland.
Thanks for the support and can't wait to get to NZ and start racing again,
Ricky Logan

Knoxville
After several days of solid rain Knoxville had to cancel the opening races set for tonight. Now it looks like opening night will be action filled for sure as next weekend is scheduled to be a World Of Outlaws race at Knoxville. No better way to get tuned up than to spend a night racing with the best sprint car drivers in the world. It should be a good night, hope to see you there!

Back in the USA
Sorry, we had a little trouble with updating our site the last few weeks. I did it once, but for some reason the report was deleted and one from a couple races back was posted? Anyway, we were scheduled to race a couple more events in NZ, but some things came up back home I had to come up and help take care of. It looks like right now, we won't be racing for a couple more weeks. I'd like to get started right away, but the situation I'm helping with is a bit more important than racing righ now. We did end up winning the NSCCS series title in NZ and I can't thank the team down there enough for a wonderful season! They all worked real hard and did a great job giving me a nice car to drive every night. I can't wait to get back down there next season and hopefully do it again. We ended up winning 11 features and several title races, but missed out on the most important one, the National title race. I hope to repeat everything we did in the 07-08 season, but add that one race win to our list!
More in a couple weeks,
Ricky
