Beaver Dam
We were scheduled to race an ASCS race down in AR, but due to weather it was postponed so the team packed up, left AR and drove up to WI so we could race at an IRA show. We started off by qualifying 6th. That placed us 3rd row in our heat and we had to finish 5th to transfer to the feature and that's exactly what we did, finished 5th. We then started the feature from 3rd row outside and came off turn two running 5th. We were trying a few things with the car and ended up with a car that wasn't very happy. I tried several different lines and different driving techniques, but we never really got going very well. It didn't help that we only ran about 5 laps at a time without a caution. On several occasions we had passed for position on laps they had a yellow so the cars were put back in front of us. With Two laps left we passed for 2nd, but once again....a yellow. On the restart we tried for 2nd once more, but got hung in the middle of the track and ended up finishing 4th. We're going back to the same track next week with plans of making up for our mistakes and hopefully leave with the trophy this time!
Thanks,
Ricky

Little Rock
Sorry, but we just found out Little Rock has a mandatory left rear hoosier tire rule and since that conflicts with one of our major sponsors(Goodyear), we will not be attending the weekly event at I-30 the weekend of the 11th. We will however be there the following weekend for the ASCS race on the 18th.
Thanks,
Ricky

Dallas
Our first weekend out didn't go too well. To start with we drew a big number for our heat race Friday. The ASCS uses a passing point system in the heats instead of time trials. I am not a fan of this system as I always pull a large number and end up at the back of my heats. This causes a problem when the tracks are single file like Dallas was Friday night. Sat. night the track was in better condition but nothing went our way. We should have finished better, but we just seemed to be at the wrong place at the wrong time all night. We're also still waiting on our new engine which should be ready next week. The races for the 27th and 28th at Oklahoma City have been called off due to weather. We'll now take the next weekend off and we might hit a weekly show at the track I grew up racing, I-30 Speedway in Little Rock on the 11th. It's been a long time since I've raced around home and we are looking forward to getting back down there. The ASCS series has a race at Little Rock the 18th, so I would expect several other teams to show up a week early for a practice run too. It should make for some good racing and the local fans will be treated to two weeks in a row of watching some of the best teams around banging wheels on one of the raciest 1/4 mile tracks around.
Hope to see you there!
