Knoxville

Again, a few days late! Well, our change of plans for the weekend worked out great for us. We decided to spend the next few weeks at Knoxville tuning up for the Nationals. We started the night off by finishing 4th in our heat after starting 6th. Not a great run, but we were the first heat out and the track was narrow and fast. We still felt like we should have done better, but it worked out best anyway. They pulled a 12 for the invert for the feature, which put us on the pole. We tried a few things with the car for the feature and it worked out great. The car was basically driving itself. I was just lucky to be the nut behind the wheel! We jumped out to a full straight a way lead by the 3rd lap. At that stage I slowed down a little just trying to make sure I didn't make any mistakes and give the race away. We had a caution with two laps left and on the restart Dennis Moore Jr. stayed within striking distance the first lap, but we started pulling away again on the second and final lap for our second 360 feature win at Knoxville this season in as many tries. We'll be dropping in the 410 this weekend hoping for the same results!

Thanks,
Ricky

MIA

Sorry I've been missing for a while! Between helping my Fiance with the death of her mother and trying to catch up on my personal business that has been put on hold the last couple of months while I've done my best to support her, I've been running crazy. Our racing hasn't been very well, partially due to our consistent bad draws with the ASCS. Since they don't run time trials, the draw is the most important thing you do all night. We were scheduled to head out west with the ASCS, but with blessings from Lucas Oil, we will now concentrate the next few weeks on preparing for the 360 and 410 Nationals at Knoxville, then pick back up and finish the season with the ASCS tour.

Thanks!
Ricky

Update

Due to a family health issue I didn't race this past weekend, but was able to hire Sammy Swindell to run my car at Knoxville. He ended up finishing a close 2nd. As of right now I don't know what our plans will be this weekend, but we will not be at Beaver Dam on Tuesday as scheduled and also looks like we won't be participating in the ASCS speedweek.

Thanks,
Ricky
